Holidays

Holidays are a time for family and friends.  Bo and I were lucky enough to have my family come visit over Thanksgiving.  Surprisingly, my GM gave me Thanksgiving day off so we were able to cook the whole traditional Thanksgiving feast and enjoy the day together!  Talk about having something to be thankful for!  While they were here, we not only celebrated Thanksgiving, but also Sara's FIRST Christmas!  Here are some photos that we captured during their visit.  I also shot my sister, Shelley's professional photos...but that's for another post.  (So be sure to check back to see great they turned out!)  Enjoy!

Lake of the Ozarks

Vacation - that's exactly what we needed.  Lake of the Ozarks was our answer.  We rented a lakefront condo for the weekend.  Saturday morning we had a delicious breakfast at On the Rise Bakery and Bistro.  That evening we had an outstanding dinner at J. Bruners.  In our down time, we lounged at the pool and on our deck overlooking the lake.  On Sunday we packed a picnic lunch and headed to Lake of the Ozarks State Park for a casual lunch before heading home. It was the perfect weekend!

Grants Farm Adventure

We always enjoy when friends come to visit.  A little over a month ago, Brittany, Justin and little Luke came to visit St. Louis.  We spent one day at Grants Farm.  Sara rode along in the stroller, but since Luke is a bit older, he enjoyed the adventure a little more.  Here are a few pictures from the day.

A Pug and A Rug

A Pug and a Rug...yes, those are our two wonderful puppies.  We have Belle who is a Rug...a Pug/Rat Terrier mix.  She is spunky, energetic and always ready for a new adventure.  Charlie is 100% Pug and he, on the other hand, is usually laying around the house sleeping somewhere.

Despite their differences, they are both wonderful, cuddly little puppies.  Their part of our family.  Here are a few photos - enjoy!

Hey Everyone!

Bo and I have always loved taking pictures.  We always try to capture unique moments and photos.  Because of our passion for photography, we have decided to start our own photography business, Captures of a Lifetime!  Well, it's more of a hobby right now, but hopefully in the future it will turn into a business!

A few shoutouts:

I would like to thank our friend Brittany, of Brittany Frejik Darby Photography ( http://picturesbybrittanyd.shutterfly.com/ ), for giving us advice and tips on setting up our business.  Also, I would like to thank Courtney Katherine Photography ( http://www.courtneykatherinephotography.com/ ) and Zach Frailey, The Uprooted Photographer ( http://www.uprootedphotographer.com/ ) for being my inspiration to be a better photographer.  I have a long way to go to even compare to them, but their work is truly inspiring to me!

I'm just getting started with our blog, so be sure to check back for new posts and pictures and feel free to leave comments - they're greatly appreciated!  I'm excited (and a little scared...I'm not gonna lie) to see what everyone has to say!
